This is my personal list of good free directories:

I know that there is a never ending debate regarding the web site submission to a list of directories. Some suggest to submit a web site in just few and well known directories and someone else suggest to submit your web site in all the directories that you are able to find.

I personally do not know what is the right answer but submitting on a good list is a subtask of the second approach and is definitively less time consuming ;).

Last issue is: “When a directory is a good directory?”  Well… just look at the page rank.

    Thank a lot Francesco for your kind support. I see something keep on developing in the directory. The best part about LinkClick.org is that it is very simple, and straight forward unlike others filled with Google adsense, and lot of junk.

    you are welcome! Just a minor comment on your submission form… it sould as you accept only links that start with “www.”. You may want to remove this constrain 😉

    Infact the objective behind this is to have categorized list of websites. Allowing subdomains will be a big problem and it would be hard to control redundancy.

    mmm I see… in this case you are cutting out a lot of website like this blog, or opens source projects like this one that I am running: http://instrumentelem.sourceforge.net/

    Btw, is your directory and is free so you decide what is the right thing to do.
